What is the Tanlink Healthcare Foundation?
We are a Tanzanian non-governmental organization (Registration No: ooNGO/R/8192) dedicated to improving healthcare access across Tanzania through medical camps, education programs, infrastructure development, and partnerships.
Where do you operate in Tanzania?
Our programs reach all regions of Tanzania, with special focus on underserved rural communities. Our mobile clinics serve remote areas while our medical camps rotate through different districts.
How are donations used?
85% of donations directly fund programs (medical camps, equipment, training), 10% supports operations, and 5% goes to monitoring/evaluation. We maintain full transparency with annual audits available to donors.
How can I verify your organization's legitimacy?
We're registered with the Tanzanian government (ooNGO/R/8192) and comply with all regulatory requirements. Our registration certificates, financial reports, and partner endorsements are available upon request.

How often do you conduct medical camps?
We organize 12-15 specialist and super-specialist medical camps annually across different regions. Each camp runs for 3-5 days and focuses on specific needs like cataract surgeries, maternal health, or chronic disease management.
Can foreign doctors volunteer at your camps?
Yes! International medical professionals can volunteer after completing registration and obtaining temporary Tanzanian medical licenses (we assist with the process). Specialists in all specialities are particularly needed.
How do your medical scholarships work?
We offer full/partial scholarships for Tanzanian students pursuing medicine, nursing, or public health degrees. Recipients commit to serving in underserved areas for 2 years post-graduation. Applications open every January.
What medical equipment do you accept as donations?
We accept: surgical instruments, ultrasound machines, patient monitors, sterilization equipment, and lab diagnostics. All equipment must be in working condition with manuals. Contact us first for approval and shipping instructions.
How can my village request a mobile clinic visit?
Community leaders can submit requests through our website or local government health offices. Priority goes to areas lacking health facilities, with consideration of population size and health indicators.
How can my organization partner with you?
We partner with healthcare providers, corporations, and NGOs through: (1) Co-hosted medical camps, (2) Equipment/resource sharing, (3) Training collaborations, and (4) Joint advocacy initiatives. Contact our Partnerships Director to discuss options.
